Portraiture
Portraiture has always been an interest for me from the start of my photography education, To be able to capture emotions and events through a photograph is truly amazing. In late 2015 i started to experiment more into Portraiture photography, adjusting light sets up constantly using reflectors and boom boards. While researching Portrait photographers I looked at David Bailey's work in inspiration, giving me a clear insight into rules of composition and much more. Below some of my early experimentation's of portraiture.

Advertisement Photography

In 2015 I was required to shoot an advertising campaign of my choice, this could be anything from an advertising drinks advert to a sports campaign. I choose to do an child protection campaign, this was a great style of work to show how specific lighting and angles to create a dramatic effect and to portray the serenity of the issues. This project pushed me into improving my studio based skills, I learnt about the different techniques of lighting and how important light is in creating/portraying a meaning. I also wanted combine surrealism into my photographs to making them more impactful, however the post-production stage proofed to be challenging. I created this set of work use two LED back lights and a spotlight in the studio.

| Polis Pier (2015 As I child I visited Cyprus almost every year, the difference in culture and Location always enraptured me in the magical tranquility of the Island, however when i was given a chance to shoot on location in my favourite part of Cyprus, Polis I wanted to represent the islands beauty through my photography. This resulted in me experimenting with slow shutters and long exposers this gave me a amazing results but not with out difficulties. I focused on a couple of genres of photography while in Cyprus from Macro photography to Documentary to Landscape. This would be the start of an exciting venture in the Landscape scene of Photography. |
